A garden venue offers a natural and picturesque setting, and provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos and ceremonies, and other celebrations. At Vogelweide Estate, there's no need to leave the venue for your wedding portraits! Practically speaking, with a garden setting, much of the decoration is already provided by nature, reducing the need for additional decorations and saving you time and money. 

Our garden venue gives you: 

• the size and versatility to host your ceremony and reception in one location, with different backdrops

• options for varying numbers of guests to suit both intimate weddings and larger celebrations

• seasonal appeal, from summer's vibrancy to autumn's beautiful foliage

• ample opportunities for stunning photos, thanks to the natural lighting and scenic backgrounds. 

 What is the best time of year to hold an event at Vogelweide Estate?

The garden is undoubtedly at its best from mid-spring to late summer, when the floral displays cascade from bulbs to roses and other vibrant summer flowers such as dahlias and zinnias. But there are reasons to celebrate at Vogelweide Estate at any time of year! Read more on The Gardens page.

Other than the warmer weather, there are also practical benefits of getting married in spring and summer. If you are planning an evening event, the sunset will light up your celebration until as late as 8.30pm. If you choose an after dark event at any time of year, our romantic lighting around the garden will help set the mood.

What does the venue provide, in addition to the picturesque garden setting?

Depending on the package you choose, we can provide white Americana chairs, tables, plates and cutlery, fairy lights, table decorations, a bar, and a full sound system. We also offer our own experienced in-house DJ at a very competitive rate and, for the cooler weather, warming touches such as heaters and blankets. Prefer to design every element of your own special day? Our garden hire-only option includes just the cost of hiring the venue itself, with tables and chairs included. It's not just budget-friendly but gives you plenty of flexibility to hire individual items from us or use entirely your own furnishings and decorations.

What if it rains?

At Vogelweide Estate, we understand the importance of planning for every possibility to ensure your special day is perfect. There are plenty of wet weather options such as hiring a marquee or booking a back up indoor venue, such as the Gundaroo Soldiers Hall. Smaller weddings can shelter in style and comfort on the homestead verandah. Remember, rain can even add an extra touch of magic to your special wedding day. Some of the best wedding photos are taken in the rain!

Do you provide catering?

No, but we are happy to provide recommendations. We believe in allowing the flexibility for you to choose the style of catering to suit your style of celebration. Whether you prefer self-catering, food trucks for a festival atmosphere or a sumptuous buffet spread - it's entirely up to you.
